After the failed coup attempt in Season 2, Gi-hun (Jung-jae) is brought back to the player dormitories in a coffin. No, he's not dead, but he wishes he was. After the death of his best friend Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan), he gives up hope and exists silently. The game doesn't stop for the grieving former winner as the contestants are ushered into an ultimate game of hide-and-seek. Separated into two teams of red and blue, the players have different assignments.
